The Mad Titan, Thanos has died several times in the Marvel Comics. He has been tragically killed multiple times in the Marvel Universe.
Even though Thanos is the deadliest villain in the Marvel Universe, he is still not impossible to end. In the Infinity War, Thor failed at killing Thanos. However, in the Avengers: Endgame, Iron Man sacrificed his own life while defeating MCU’s Mad Titan. But Thanos wasn’t very tough in the comics.
Although Thanos in Marvel’s movies is a hard nut to crack. On the other hand, is not very difficult to defeat in the comics. However, many characters have over time managed to defeat and kill Thanos. He has died in both the most iconic ways as well as the most decent ways.
However, the question over all these years remains the same, “who killed Thanos in Marvel Comics?”
Adam Warlock, the keeper of the Soul Stone, was very conveniently left out of the original Infinity Gauntlet comic. He was introduced in the ending of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. Warlock is believed to be one of the strongest characters in the Marvel Universe. He kept the Soul Stone with him until Thanos took it from him. He then trapped Warlock in the Soul World.
However, Spiderman made him free from the trap. Warlock then turns his enemy Thanos into a stone and hence succeeds in killing him. So, Thanos ultimately died at the hands of Warlock.
Guradian of the Galaxy: Drax
Since Thanos killed Drax’s family in the MCU. He was keen to give Thanos a difficult and gruesome death. Drax was created by Thanos’ grandfather after he demolished his home, the World of Titan. In Annihilation #4, Drax traveled across hundreds of galaxies in search of Thanos. He ultimately finds Thanos and killed him most horrifyingly. He ripped out Mad Titan’s heart.
Also, Thanos never bows down, he is usually in trouble with his deeds. In Secret Wars (2016). Thanos enters a conflict with Doctor Doom. However, this time it was no ordinary Doctor Doom. He had some iconic and god-like powers. Thanos was nothing in front of this omnipotent iconic villain. But Thanos being his usual self-called him names. He called Doctor Doom a “pretender” and a “weak god”. This infuriated Doom and he took out Thanos’ spine. And hence, Thanos died tragically.
Unbeatable Squirrel Girl takes down The Mad Titan
Forget Doctor Doom and Adam Warlock, a Squirrel Girl gave the most impressive defeat to Thanos. Not only, Thanos, she has also defeated Doctor Doom and MODOK in the past.
In the GLX-Mas Special, Thanos lies in the ground next to the unbeatable Squirrel Girl. Someone who watched the fight congratulated the squirrel girl on her victory over Thanos. He said, “
The whole fight wasn’t shown but the result. However, it looked like she didn’t have to do much to take Thanos down. So, the victory goes to her. Also, after being defeated by the squirrel girl, if he by chance survived his reputation would be wasted. This looked like the saddest end.
