HBO Max’s Green Lantern TV series will be starring Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Sinestro, and other interpretations of Green Lantern. WarnerMedia’s recent streaming service has only been around for limited months, but the DC brand is evolving to be one of its most important. There are numerous new DC projects in the works for HBO Max, varying from DC Universe holdovers like Titans and Harley Quinn to Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League. Here is one confirmed project that is a live-action Green Lantern series. HBO Max’s Green Lantern TV series will be different.

HBO Max’s Green Lantern TV series was announced in late 2019 from Greg Berlanti, the producer who helped in the launch of Arrowverse on The CW. Geoff Johns was correlated to the series in some manner, but it has now been declared that Seth Grahame-Smith and Arrow co-creator Marc Guggenheim are composing the series. For non-comic readers, most of the Green Lantern stars are the fresh ones this time. Alan Scott is the actual Green Lantern of Earth in the comics and is a gay man. HBO Max’s Green Lantern TV series will be his third live-action manifestation after Doug Pinton played him in an episode of Smallville and a brief arrival in season 1 of Stargirl. Guy Gardner was the second choice to Hal Jordan to serve Green Lantern in the comics and came to be his backup before becoming his hero.
