Adam Warlock is a pain for Thanos, the Mad Titan. The astral hero has always curbed Marvel’s greatest villain Thanos’ plans on several occasions, once he even has sacrificed himself to turn Thanos in stone.
Adam Warlock has debuted in Fantastic Four, he has been created as the precise human by a committee of wicked scientists and the group is known as the Enclave. Yet, Warlock attains the Soul Gem that has always awarded him powers. Before Thanos could use the Infinity Gauntlet, he had used the Infinity Stones to make a device that could turn the sun nova. There has been an effort to stop him, where Warlock and a few other cosmic heroes are killed. Their entities are transferred into the Soul Gem.
Marvel Two In One Annual #2 that has been written by Jim Starlin, Petra Goldberg, Annette Kawecki and Joe Rubinstein, opens with the dream of Spider-Man about Avengers where Avengers are defeated by Thanos in space. The moment he gets up, he teams up with the Thing and goes to space to check the truth. Unfortunately, they are attacked by a group of monsters.
On the other hand, Warlock has been living in bliss in paradise in the Soul Gem. And he realises the need to do something with Thanos. Spiderman snatches the soul gem from Thanos and this frees Warlock’s soul.
Warlock Saves The Superheroes
Warlock has now saved the heroes but his soul is again transferred to the Soul Gem. The superheroes are obviously disturbed with the loss of Warlock. His tombstone states, “… here lies Adam Warlock. God slayer of two worlds, and tormented soul.” Captain Marvel has been seen stating about him as, “pass as honourable as he.”
Thanos’ plan failed as Warlock has turned himself as an opponent against Thanos and saved many Avengers. He has proved himself as an important asset for any superhero who has saved unlimited lives.
