Anything can happen in the Marvel Universe, as you can imagine all the what-ifs in the stories. You can even see heroes giving up their morals and becoming what they always fought for.
In the later avatars of the superheroes, The Marvel’s superheroes went awfully off track. The superheroes when murdered by their villains this eventually destroyed themselves.
Daredevil: The Man Without Fear
What broke Daredevil was the happenings of ‘Born Again’. Matt Murdock was the target of the Kingpin as he tried all his resources to destroy Matt Murdock’s life. But the fearless Murdock confronted Kingpin. ‘What If’, the version of Daredevil vol. 2 written by Greg Capullo and Danny Fingeroth thought of a world where instead of confronting Kingpin fearlessly, Murdock appeared at Kingpin’s office with a gun.
Why did Matt Murdock ignore Spider-Man?
Murdock shoots Kingpin in the head and kills him and later is filled with regret and guilt. This made him come on the streets that for him is justice to the crime done by him. On the other hand, Karen Page is killed and therefore she would never be able to find Murdock. Spider-Man and Punisher track Murdock to help him and bring him back but Murdock finds a way to escape them. He happened to find Wilson Fisk’s son Richard.
Murdock full of guilt asks for forgiveness and seems to wait for his death. Meanwhile, Hobgoblin arrived and changed the entire situation. In the near end, Daredevil somehow manages to activate a pumpkin bomb that’s clutched on Hobgoblin’s glider. This resulted in the death of both men. Richard decided to carry over as Daredevil and continued in his path as a tribute to Murdock’s heroism.
