Ewan McGregor was last seen in the role of Star Wars‘ Obi-Wann Kenobi years ago but has put on the Jedi garb as for some work of pre-production for the upcoming Disney+ series.
It’s has been 15 years since Ewan McGregor slipped into the Jedi raiment of Obi-wan Kenobi, but the actor has donned his old threads again as a part of pre-production for the entitled Obi-Wan Kenobi upcoming Disney+ series.
While having a conversation with Happy Sad Confused Podcast MacGregor shared that he had put his old Kenobi on for a camera test while he visited the set of Disney+’s The Mandalorian. “It was funny walking on set because it was a lot of The Mandalorian crew and I walked on, and it was a big moment,” he said “I walked into the dressing room and there were my beige cloaks and my belts and boots and it was like, ‘Oh my God, it was my old costume.’ It was amazing.”
Still, No set photos have been released by Disney. The Kenobi series is still in its pre-production stage.
The Mandalorian takes place in Star Wars continuity several years after Darth Vader killed Kenobi in Star Wars: A new hope, A short appearance as a Force Ghost. McGregor’s appearance on the set Mandalorian’s nowhere confirms that he is going to feature in the series too.
As per the steaming news, the new series is going to take place in the two decades between the Star War revenge of the Slith. Revenge of the Slith saw it ends with orders of Emperor Palpatine destroying the order of Jedi Order
A new series delivered Kenobi, as Ben, reclusively residing on the planet near young Luke. According to the steaming rumors, there is a possibility that Luke and his twin sister Leia are featuring in the new series.
Ewan McGregor Confirms The Production Started
Recently, Ewan McGregor has confirmed that the production of the new series is going to begin in March 2021. The appearance of McGregor in the costume sparked the fire of excitement in every Star Wars Fan, now they are just expecting to see the news series after this many hurdles since the series was officially confirmed 2 years ago after seeing a ton of rumors before. Earlier this year, the show emerged from a three-month hiatus in the wake of the departure of screenwriter Hossein Amini and subsequent hiring of writer Joby Harold.
