Did you know the famous kids’ program Teletubbies inspired Loki show? Let’s find out how!
Marvel’s Disney+ Loki series is next in line in the long list of entertainment projects lined up for this year. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is finally coming back with his charming personality and mischief to steal the hearts of the fans once more. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is considered to be one of the greatest villains often credited for stealing the show from the heroes. The fans were completely destroyed when Loki met an unexpected death during the start of Avengers: Infinity War, which left them wondering if the journey of their favourite villain was over.
Sadly, Loki indeed died at the hand of Thanos, moments after he aligned himself with his brother’s side. Luckily for the fans, Loki’s journey in the MCU was still not over and he still lives, thanks to a minor set- back during the Time Heist. As Iron Man and the squad attempted to bring back the tesseract from the past, a small incident led Loki to get away with the Tesseract and escape to an uncertain place. Marvel’s Loki series will continue Loki’s story after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
The Plot Details Of The Loki Series
MCU’s original Loki is officially dead and the one who we’ll watch in the Loki series is a time remanent, an apparition that exists because of changes in time and space. Because of distortion in time and space, the Time Variance Authority will take Loki into custody so as to maintain the balance of time. Loki must team up with his new partner, Mobius M. Mobius, played by Owen Wilson, and work for the TVA in order to set the timeline right.
We don’t know if there is a villain in the series, but we are sure to see Loki in his modern-day comic accurate look as seen in the trailer. With mystery and mischief in play by the God of Mischief himself, Marvel’s Loki series promises a lot of fun and excitement.
The Inspirations For The Loki Series
Kate Herron, the director of Loki series, has recently opened up about the inspirations that helped create the Loki series. A Twitter user with username @princloki shared an image of an article about the series, which revealed Herron’s statement in regards to the inspirations of the show. Herron very discretely hinted at the inspirations of the Loki series, which were Blade Runner, Mad Men, and Teletubbies. While Blade Runner and Mad Men were understandable sources of inspiration, in what way did Teletubbies helped inspire the show is a big mystery.
Herron refused to explain any further stating, “You’re just gonna have to wait until June 11.” That being said, Loki has been preponed to June 9 from June 11, and now the fans have another thing to look forward to how did the Teletubbies inspire Loki? Was it a hint to some sort of alien beings that would appear on the show which resemble the odd-looking Teletubbies or something else? I guess we would have to wait until Loki premieres in June to find out.
