Doctor Strange has experienced over 14 million outcomes by using the Time Stone. And there is only one in which a hero wins. Strange willingly gives up on the Time Stone only because of Tony Shark’s sacrifice. Marvel has explained the scene well, that only Tony Stark’s sacrifice has made him leave the Time Stone to Thanos so Tony’s life could be saved.
Had Steve Rogers Survived The Snap?
“Avengers: Endgame’s third act battle” could have been completely different if Captain America has not been wearing a nanotech armour. But then what could have happened? If Steve Rogers really have survived the snap?
There are two factors that matter the most: the energy that is expanded by using the infinity stones and the metabolism of Steve Rogers.
The final snap was limited in extent. Thanos and Hulk affected the whole Universe. And this snap abolished Thanos along with his troop from the Avengers’ area compound. Thanos and Hulk, both were left deeply frightened due to the snap. This might not have happened and maybe, Steve Rogers might not have survived in the second case.
Would The Avengers: Endgame’s Story Be Acceptable?
It could be interesting but not satisfying. Avengers: Endgame’s plot had been constructed in the way to close the narrative on Tony Stark. It had happened to end it at ” happily ever after” note. The narrative shows that Tony Stark needed a strong sense of sacrifice to be a superhero.
