After the Fast and Furious spin off, the Hobbs and Shaw 2 is on its way to the market. The first installment has not been acclaimed high, neither comercially nor by critics. But the movie has still managed to receive well on box office because of the global market.
Chris Morgan, writer of Fast and Furious, who has also written Hobbs and Shaw, has revealed the plans to bring the sequel.
Dwayne Johnson has been found busy ever since the Hobbs and Shaw hit the theatres. Thus, the Rock has updated on the sequel.
Last weekend, there had been a quick update by Johnson on Instagram Live. He saids, “We are developing now the next film, the next Hobbs and Shaw movie, and I am pretty excited about the movie.” He has been busy promoting his other projects. He also said, “just gotta figure out the creatives right now, and the direction we are going to go.” He also thanked his fans for the immense success of the first installment. He thanked his fans for making the first part a “huge success.”
It will be interesting to see if the sequel picks up the thread left out by the first part, as the plot of the first part was weakly woven. Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Hart are expected to play the bigger roles with Johnson and Statham. The sequel already has a good cast as it also includes Venessa Kirby’s Hattie Shaw and Eiza Gonzaleze’s Madam M.
Hobbs and Shaw has successfully taken Fast and Furious into the world of sci-fi fiction. It will be differentiating the spin off series from mainline Fast and Furious.
Hobbs and Shaw part 1 has worked best as it has focussed on the theme of family. The sequel will be carrying it.
