Kaley Cuoco owes to Big Bang Theory’s Penny:
Since the show ended, it was tough for everyone to say goodbye to the longest-running sitcom and so it was for actress Kaley Cuoco who played the role of Penny. However, Kaley expressed in one of her interviews that people still assume she’s happy to be done with The Big Bang Theory.
Cuoco told news.com.au, “People like to ask me Oh you must be so excited to get away from Big Bang Theory? I absolutely don’t feel that way. Every job I get I owe to Big Bang. I feel strongly that way because it changed my life. I wouldn’t be here without it, so it would be crazy for me to shy away from it. I’m so proud of that show and what we did”
Kaley Cuoco on her new project The Flight Attendant:
The 34-year-old actress said that TBBT’s Penny brought her into the limelight. After The Big Bang Theory, she bagged a role in a series titled “The Flight Attendant”. The series is based on a novel.
She further said “Any project I was going to choose after Big Bang Theory I knew was going to get a lot of attention, good or bad no matter what I chose people would have thought it was either a good idea or not. I wasn’t necessarily looking for this sort of drama or character but I knew that the right project…I would know deep in my gut. So when I saw the book three years ago I simply thought wow this could be a great character for TV”
“It wasn’t me trying to get away from Big Bang or move on—it just felt like the right move. And the icing on top was I had all these different emotions. I got to play action, adventure, mystery, emotion but also moments of laughter” What are your views on it? Let us know in the comments section below.
