A series of Percy Jackson is presently in the early stages of development at Disney Plus. The announcement was made on Thursday by Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson book series. He posted a video on Twitter announcing along with his wife, Becky.
Rick then made a statement, “We can’t say much more at this stage but we are very excited about the idea of a live-action series of the highest quality, following the storyline of the original Percy Jackson five-book series, starting with The Lightning Thief in season one. Rest assured that Becky & I will be involved in person in every aspect of the show.”

In the “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” book series, “Percy Jackson” is the protagonist. As the story starts, What Percy who is the son of a human mother and the Greek god Poseidon is a demigod.

In addition to “The Lightning Thief”, the series also include the books – “The Titan’s Curse”, “The Last Olympian”, “The Sea of Monsters” and “The Battle of the Labyrinth”. The companion books: “The Demigod Diaries” and “The Demigod Files” have also been published by Riordan.
The films that were previously adapted into the feature films were: “Sea of Monsters” and “Lightning Thief”. Logan Lerman is shown as Jackson. The first and the second film were released in 2010 and 2013 respectively. Both the films got mixed reviews but made over $425 million together worldwide.
