Jupiter’s Legacy Is ‘Part 2001, Part Avengers, Part Godfather II’, Says Mark Millar. Jupiter’s Legacy is an upcoming Netflix Original superhero-drama based on the comic by the same name and is created by Mark Millar. Within the ‘Millar world comics’ many regard Jupiter’s Legacy and subsequent prequel Jupiter’s Circle as some of Millar’s best work. Jupiter’s legacy will be the first title from the Millarworld comics to premiere on Netflix. The series is expected to hit the Netflix screen in May 2021.
Millar also gave the statement saying-“It’s a 50-year story self-contained inside one franchise,”; “It’s got a cast of 50 or 60 super-characters. The story starts in 1929 and runs until the end of time. It runs through all time and space and explains the mystery of human existence, all tied into a superhero story.” As Millar promises about the epic look of a new character and if the character proves to be more successful than half of the films Millar mentions, The Legacy of Jupiter will be one of the best TV shows of Millar’s world.

The ‘Jupiter Legacy’s’ cast includes Josh Duhamel as Utopian, Ben Daniels as Walter Sampson, and Leslie Bibb as entente superheroes. The show also has Tyler Mane in the role of criminal Blackstar, as well as Elena Campouris, Andrew Horton, as Utopian’s and Grace’s powerful children Chloe and Brandon Sampson. In the 1930s has the first generation of Superheroes rose to prestige after receiving powers. And to the present day, the original heroes have become the elder guard.
Meanwhile, the children of the legendary heroes are struggling to live up to their parent’s legacy and legendary feats. The story spans from the 1930s through to the present day. In May 2020, Mark Millar confirmed what comics would be covered in the Netflix series. He calls it a “combination” of Jupiter’s Legacy one and two plus Jupiter’s Circle one and two. Mark Millar has been assigned a writer for the show along with Brian Gunn, Mark Gunn, and Steven S. DeKnight. Millar also serves as an executive producer for the show.
