Jurassic World has to wait for one more year because it’s release date has been delayed to June 2022. Even in the earliest days of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s was clear that Hollywood is going to face the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak even after 2020. In recent weeks Studios are struggling to adjust their upcoming slates pushing several highly anticipated projects back much further than originally anticipated. Seeing the Coronavirus cases going up studios have decided that it is better to delay the upcoming project than to take the risk of releasing them during unprecedented and uncertain times. Now Jurassic World 3 Is Delayed for one year.
Jurassic World 3 Is Delayed In Times Of COVID-19
Universal’s Jurassic World: Dominion is one of the many titles that are affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. Production of the movie was kick-started earliest in the year but the movie has to go on a break when the situation took a turn for the worse. The filming of Jurassic World: Dominion resumed in July and has been going on smoothly, But it seems like fortune has something else to say. Jurassic World 3 Is Delayed, but we are not sure if it will take only one year.
Universal confirmed that Jurassic World 3 Is Delayed and the date has been delayed to June 10, 2022. Originally it was planned to be released on June 11, 2021. While sharing the new poster of the movie on Twitter, director Colin Trevorrow shared some of his thoughts on the delay.
Universal was very motivated to move Jurassic World: Dominion in an effort to put it in a better place to succeed. World: Dominion’s original release date. The previous two Jurassic World films both grossed over $1 billion, so this third installment is likely to do very well commercially. That said, it still represents a major investment for Universal, and they’d rather it come out at a time where it won’t be facing much competition.
In the end, it seems like this change can be beneficial for Jurassic World. If all things go well principle photography will be done in October, then the director and his company will have a lot of time for its post-production and to give new look to the movie. Jurassic World: Dominion’s new release date is 20 months away, meaning there’s no reason why the final product should feel like it’s rushed.
