Kevin Feige confirms that things are changing for MCU as Phase 4 will only run for two years as he will not have multiple films deal with any actor.
Kevin Feige unveiled at Comic-con that Marvel’s Phase 4 of the MCU will be only two years long. Marvel Studios marked the end of an era with the release of Avengers: Endgame, which was the conclusion of the franchise’s Infinity Saga that spanned more than a decade. The MCU is ever-expanding, and Phase 4 is already giving us hit series like WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki. Over the years the studio has only evolved to be one of the topmost across the globe. The phenomenon that it signs stars for long contracts and multiple films through years. But according to Kevin, this will change with the way MCU functions.
Since the majority of the base stars of the MCU have already bid goodbye to the universe. Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, and now Scarlett Johansson is also set to bid adieu with her first and final solo movie Black Widow. President Kevin Feige, with great plans for the studio, talked about changes that will be made in the MCU right from Phase 4. In a recent interview, WandaVision star Paul Bettany revealed that he is not contracted for any other project.
“I’m honest with you. I still don’t know [if there are more opportunities in the MCU],” Bettany revealed to The Playlist. “Oh no, no. I don’t have a contract. I don’t know that. I don’t know that at all. And all that I do know is, as far as this sort of traunch of the press goes, it’s for an Emmy push, which is for a limited series. So, it doesn’t look like that happening again. I mean, I guess it would be difficult to introduce White Vision and not deal with him in some way, but we have not discussed that.”
In a conversation with Hollywood reporter, Kevin Feige Stated the fact that things are changing for Marvel-
“That got a lot of attention way back when, with I think Scarlett [Johansson], and [Chris] Hemsworth and Evans and Sam Jackson. It varies now.”
“It varies, project to project, cast to cast. Really, what we want are people that come in, are excited to be in the universe, are excited at the opportunity to do more things, as opposed to being locked into contractual obligations.”
The change in MCU has already begun with all the movie lineups for Phase 4 which includes an amazing and new set of casts. Marvel has always stunned us and will continue doing it with Phase 4 movies and series.
