Latest Update To WhatsApp Will Make Lives Simpler

The latest update to WhatsApp will make it easier for users to delete media from others’ phones as well.

The latest update to WhatsApp will be making it possible for the users to delete the image, video, or any GIF from someone else’s phone as well. The users will be able to delete the images along with videos and GIFs from others’ phones after having sent the same to them.

The latest Update To WhatsApp

The latest update to WhatsApp is called the ‘Expiring Media’ feature. It was noticed by the website WaBetaInfo first. It reported that it will be causing the media to disappear after even being viewed within the chat. It will work in a similar way, things work in Snapchat.

If the users want to enable the Expiring Media feature in the latest update to WhatsApp, all they need to do is to select the “vis once” option before sending the media to someone. And then when it is sent, the receiver will be able to view it only when they are in the chat.

While leaving the chat window, they will receive a message, “This media will disappear once you leave this chat.”

And if the person then also leaves the window, and then returns back to the chat window, they will receive a message that the media they have viewed already is now deleted.

It is going to be a little while before the feature is rolled out. But it is in development as part of the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.20.2011 version.

However, we don’t have the latest update to WhatsApp as of now. We also don’t know about when the public release of the feature will be taking place. But it assures extra safety to all of us, especially for the ones who send things and then regret after a few seconds.

WhatsApp is the world’s most popular messaging app, having more than 2 billion monthly users from around the globe.

This means that the development could be a slow process while introducing the new features.

However, WhatsApp should be kept active and altered to stay ahead of the other messaging apps on the market.

Obviously, Snapchat already has disappearing messages and has been done since 2011. and Instagram also enables people to send disappearing DM (direct message).
