But later the theatrical release was skipped and thus Disney Plus acquired the film. The film received a warm reception from the critics. It is currently resting at 77% of the critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Mulan tells the story of an inexperienced Chinese woman who agrees to mask herself as a man in order to ensure her father from assisting in a war that could put his being in danger, curbing her true potential in the process. The Live action remake of Mulan is directed by Niki Caro, it stars Yifei Liu, Donnie Yen, Li Gong, Jet Li, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Tzi Ma, Rosalind Chao, Pei-Pei Cheng, and Xana Tang.
