Loki Episode 2 Explained

Looks like a new and different Loki is what Marvel Cinematic Universe has in store for us.

After a year-long wait, fans finally got to see a Marvel movie/series, and that too in the form of LOKI (The God of Mischief). Loki is one of the most notorious characters in the Marvel Universe and one of the most amazing villains who are always after something and planning to get it in one way or the other.

Loki Episode 2 Explained

Tom Hiddleston who plays the role of Loki Laufeyson in the series is one of the most loved characters because of his quirky nature and quick comments. Although Loki dies after battling with Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, this series is set after Loki steals the Space stone in Avengers: Endgame. He was captured by TVA (Time Variance Authority) which is established to look over the multiverse and stop actions that may cause changes in the past or the future.

ALL ABOUT LOKI EPISODE 2

The 2nd episode of Loki was released on 16th June on Disney + Hotstar. The episode titled “The Variant” showcases Loki teaming up with TVA to find the other Loki variant. Loki tells Mobius that the variant might be somewhere near the apocalyptic events because it can successfully hide there and it won’t even change the nature of events. This turns out true and they see for themselves when they reach Pompeii in 79 AD where over 1000 people died due to the volcanic eruption. They also found the variant in 2050 Alabama.

Fans were delighted to see various versions of Loki and while we assumed that each one of them was a trickster, we were shocked to see variations in appearance in the various characters. One of them is not even human and resembles a troll.

FEMALE LOKI?

One of the very dissimilar appearances that TVA has been hunting for is female Loki played by Sophia Di Martino. This was certainly one of the biggest twists fans could have expected. In Marvel Comics, lady Loki wasn’t exactly female but was Lady Sif who was possessed by Loki. However, the show portrays this as a different character.
