For this October edition, Marvel comics has revealed a collection of all-new variants inspired by the classic retro style horror style film posters.
As Halloween is just a month and a half away, Marvel Comics has revealed a collection of all-new variants covers as readers trick-or-treat. These spooky variant covers are inspired by some classic horror film serial posters. Which are slated to be shipped with some certain titles going on sales from this October?
This list of these variants are super exciting, it includes Amazing Spider-Man #50 (Aaron Kuder with colors by Jordie Bellaire), Avengers #37 (Javier Rodríguez), Captain America #24 (Mirka Andolfo), Captain Marvel #22 (Taurin Clarke), Immortal Hulk #38 (Mike del Mundo), Iron Man #2 (Mattia De Iulis), Spider-Woman #5 (Patrick Gleason) and X-Men #13 (Russell Dauterman).
What plan did marvel get for these new variants?
These variants are going to place Marvel’s classic superhero’s, in various classic retro style spooky scenarios. Kuder and Bellaire’s Amazing Spiderman cover suggests the wall-crawler as the Vampire hunter.
X-men variants by Dauterman imagine the member of mutant with the most popularity as a member of the undead. Spider-woman variants depict Jessie Drew transforming into a werewolf by the nights. Andolfo’s Captain America variant resurrects Steve Rogers’ old “Capwolf” persona as he gnaws on the arm of a certain Armored Avenger. The covers of the new variants will be released with alternate names for example Avengers will become “where avengers dwell” and Immortal Hulk will become “living hulk”.
From September 21, Monday retailers will be able to order these new spooky horror variants by Marvel Comics. These new variants include,
