Reportedly, Marvel Studios is moving forward with Deadpool 3 as Ryan Reynolds’ next solo film found its pair of writers. Twentieth Century Fox took a turn with the X-Men franchise in 2016 with the release of Deadpool. The decision of dropping an R-rated superhero movie came on a leaked demo reel that made the internet crazy. A few years later Deadpool made its debut and became the highest R-rated movie of all time and gave Fox an exceptionally great X-Men spinoff franchise.
After 2 years studio dropped the sequel of Deadpool and planned to make a third film and an X-Force spinoff, but this got difficult after Disney acquired Fox’s film studio. The deal meant Marvel Studios having the right of Deadpool and this raised a question that Deadpool’s adult action-comedy franchise will be able to move under Marvel’s family-friendly genre? But Reynold kept the hopes alive with Deadpool 3 by teasing meetings with Marvel Studios, and not it seems like Deadpool 3 is finally getting online.
What Made Marvel Choose New Writers For Deadpool 3?
As per a report by Deadline, Ryan Reynolds is all set to reprise his role of Wade Wilson. But the upcoming sequel will not have Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese as writers who penned previous films. Instead, Marvel opted for Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin to write the script of the film. Molineux sisters received a lot of praise for their work in Bob’s Burger, where they handed writing and executive producer.
Now Deadpool 3 is finally making some growth the next installment of the franchise will keep that R-rated tone of the film. Even though Reynolds is back for another R-rated romp, the rest of the creative team will look quite different. Not only are Wernick and Reese not returning, but Deadpool 2 director David Leitch is not expected to be back given his busy schedule – unless Deadpool 3 takes a few years to get into production.
