Justice League parallel from the Marvel universe does not hesitate to use brutal methods to deal with criminals and villains.
Marvel’s Justice League parallels, the Squadron Supreme, are not really big when it comes to morals. These so-called mighty heroes don’t hold back anything when it comes to dealing with criminals. Marvel’s Heroes Reborn showcases a world that is totally turned upside down, having a great number of significant changes from the original world of Marvel comics. The most major change of the world of Heroes Reborn was the Avengers never coming together to form a team, instead, another group of powerful beings takes their place as the Earth’s mightiest heroes. The Squadron Supreme of America claimed the title of Earth’s defenders and started enforcing their own brand of Justice, however, the methods that they practice to deal with the evildoers are not so hero-like.
The Squadron Supreme And Their Ruthless Methods
The Squadron Supreme under the control of Phil Coulson, became Earth’s greatest heroes and consequently, Coulson became the President of the United States, and as such he allowed the Squadron to use whatever dark methods they desired in dealing with beings of actual and potential threats. The favourite method that the Squadron likes to bring into practice is tossing people into the Negative Zone. The Negative Zone is a dead universe made up of anti-matter that was discovered by Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic. In contrast to our own universe which is expanding, the Negative Zone is in a constant state of contraction suggesting that it will eventually go to implode, it’s just a matter of time.
The Squadron Supreme uses Negative Zone to trap villains and potential threats to a much larger extent. Reed Richards too used it to trap villains but he only used it on villains that were nearly unbeatable. On the contrary, the Squadron uses it to imprison people even before they become threats, i.e., they imprison people even before they do something heinous. Sure, they trapped strong villains in there like Doctor Doom (Known as Doctor Juggernaut in the world of Heroes Reborn), but so other people who were meant to be superheroes and even Avengers.
Their victims included Bruce Banner a.k.a. the Incredible Hulk, the Spirit of Vengeance (the spirit of a fallen spirit which grants powers to the Ghost Rider), and even Starbrand. A Negative Zone is a place that really brings the “survival of the fittest” theory into practice. It’s a place where mere humans cannot hope to survive, so if Bruce Banner’s Hulk in Heroes Reborn was a one-time deal, he is sure to die in the cold space of the Negative Zone.
The blade was the only being who remembered the original timeline and hence is burdened with the great duty of restoring the rightful world but he cannot hope to do so without the help of the original Avengers. With Hulk trapped in the Negative Zone, he can be ruled out of the picture, leaving Blade to seek help from the other heroes of the past such as Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, the only catch being that none of them are active heroes anymore. Let us hope that Blade finds some help in his quest before he too befalls victim to the harsh punishment by the Squadron Supreme
