Following the numerous delays because of the ongoing pandemic, that has made the fans of the popular sci-fi Stranger Things fans wait, Stranger Things star Maya Hawke promises that the fourth season of the famous Netflix show will be worth the long wait.
Maya Hawke debuted as Robin Buckley, a co-worker of Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), in Stranger Things Season 3 and she eventually joined Eleven, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, and Will’s ever-expanding circle of friends. Stranger Things Season 3 concluded with Jim Hopper sacrificing himself to defeat the Mind Flayer, and Eleven was left powerless decided to move away from Hawkins, Indiana, with the Byers family.
The 3rd Season ended in 2019 and the fans have had to wait for a long time for the 4th installment. However, Maya Hawke promised in a recent interview with Collider that the season will be worth the long stretched wait. She further explained that the long shut down gave the creators Matt and Ross Duffer to strengthen the plotline of the story even more creating some of the best episodes of the series so far.
She said, “I’m not allowed to tell you when we finish filming, but I can tell you that, though it’s been forever because we’ve had so much time, the level of effort, interest, and detail that the Duffer brothers have had the time to put into these scripts, and that the actors have had the time to think about their characters, it is gonna be awesome. And I’m so proud of the work that everyone is doing and I can’t wait for people to see this season. It’s been a long wait, but I think it will be worth it.”
Writers often don’t get enough time to write an entire season of television, and thus the pandemic granted them that chance. The Duffer brothers were allowed enough time to finish, rewrite, and polish their scripts well for fans of Stranger Things. The other cast members along with Finn Wolfhard have expressed their excitement about season 4 and it’ll be the show’s darkest yet, maturing with its young cast.
Recent photos from The Stranger Things set revealed that Quinn’s character, D&D club president, Eddie Munson, will be joining hands with Steve and Robin. Maya Hawke has cemented herself as a key character of the cast. We hope her role evolves further in season 4as she helps the others to adjust to concepts of the Mind Flayer and Upside Down. With a bunch of new and returning characters, the Russians carrying on an experiment, familiar locations, and, maybe even time travel, all these aspects definitely sounds worth the wait.
