Natalie Portman has started training to look at a perfect superhero. Natalie Portman has begun her superhero training in order to play Jane Foster, Mighty Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder. It wasn’t long that Portman’s duration in the Marvel Cinematic Universe seemed to be over. After playing Thor’s central love interest in the first two Thor films and a terrible experience on Thor: The Dark World, Portman didn’t come back for Thor: Ragnarok. This is why it appeared as a surprise when Portman walked out on the stage of San Diego Comic-Con 2019 to ascertain her interest in Thor 4.
Even though Portman will be playing the same MCU character as before, Jane will be relatively different this time around. Taika Waititi’s sequel is inspired by Jason Aaron’s celebrated Thor runs, which saw Jane come to be the new Thor, known as Mighty Thor. From the minute that Portman’s return in Thor: Love and Thunder was disclosed, she has hinted at the ultimate physical modification she will go through to serve a superhero. So, Natalie Portman has started training.
Natalie Portman Has Started Training Officially
Now, Portman has corroborated that she has begun workout to get in superhero shape. During a new interview with Yahoo, Portman was inquired to spill the beans on what the Phase 4 MCU movie will carry. She can’t say much about the film itself, so Portman instead borrowed this opportunity to ascertain that her journey to fulfill a superhero has begun. And thus, Natalie Portman has started training.
“I can’t tell you that much. I’m really excited. I’m starting to train, to get muscles. If there can be all these female superheroes, the more of them they are, the better it is.”
Natalie Portman has started training and the workout regimes are relentless, but Portman has long occurred to be up to the challenge. She’s gone through bodily transformations for roles in the history but nothing relatively like what Marvel might have in stock. Of course, it stays to be seen exactly how they schedule to pull off Portman’s Mighty Thor look.
Whatever transformation she goes through as Natalie Portman has started training, it will be fascinating to see Jane’s arc in the movie. Waititi has yet to verify that his film will keep Jane’s cancer plotline, which is a well-known aspect of her time as Thor. If Thor: Love and Thunder does comprise Jane’s cancer storyline, then Portman will not be jacked throughout the film, as Marvel would be using VFX to make her look frail even without Mjolnir.
