Natalie Portman has confirmed her character’s official name in Thor Love and Thunder in an interview with Kelly Clarkson.
While being on a virtual appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Natalie Portman who has played Jane Foster in the first two films of Thor has confirmed what many have already suspected. She will be taking on the mantle of The Thor in the fourth installment.
Portman was presented in the interview from Sydney. She is, as of now, waiting to start filming for Thor Love and Thunder. Clarkson tried to get the details from Natalie Portman. But the actor has revealed a little saying her powers will be her version of Thor’s abilities.
Natalie Portman Chooses Thor As Her Favorite Superhero
When inquired to nominate her beloved superhero, Portman picked Thor. However, she communicated enthusiasm about the much-delayed Black Widow movie featuring Scarlett Johansson, as well as Captain Marvel. Clarkson said she too was delighted for the impending slate of female superheroes.
Natalie Portman added that not only female superheroes are significant for young girls to see, “but it’s really important for the boys, you know, for boys to get to see women in those kinds of characters and those kinds of personalities. It just expands the opportunity for how we all see each other.”
Thor Love and Thunder will be directed by Taika Waititi. It stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. The film will arrive in theaters on Feb. 11, 2022.
