Netflix has dropped the first trailer of Enola Holmes. It stars Millie Bobby Brown (a titular character). The trailer suggests Sherlock Holmes’ forgotten sister has arrived.
Netflix has announced the drop of the trailer on social media. Netflix has captioned the post, “She’s the Holmes sister you (probably) don’t know about, and she’s about to outwit her brother in more ways than one.”
“Millie Bobby Brown stars in Enola Holmes – only on Netflix 23 September.”
Enola Holmes is based on the books by Nancy Springer. It tracks the prosperity of an infamous Holmes family from a different perspective.
Enola Holmes is the younger sister of Sherlock Holmes and Mycroft. Just like her family, she is seen enjoying cracking the crimes with her sharp wit.
The film will be released on 23rd September at 8 am in 2020. It will be available on Netflix.
The synopsis suggests that film is set in 1884. It starts with a 16-year-old Holmes who wakes up one morning and learns that her mother is missing. She sets off to London in search of her mother, against her brothers’ advice.
Enola Holmes also stars Sam Claflin (from Peaky Blinders) as Mycroft Holmes and The Witcher actor Henry Cavill as Sherlock. The film follows Enola Holmes’ escape from the traditional finishing school upbringing.
The film also stars Helena Bonham Carter as the matriarch of the Holmes clan.
