The actress recently grabbed a lead role in a film which is an adaptation of a play.
The film is based on the Olivier Award-winning play by Jessica Swale. The storyline follows the life of Nell Gwynn (working title) mistress of Charles II and her involvement in 17th-century theatre.
According to Deadline, Lisa Barros D’Sa and Glenn Leyburn will be helming the movie. Also, Charles II is likely to be cast soon.
How Maeve Wiley changed Emma Mackey’s career after Sex Education
There’s no denying Netflix’s teen drama Sex Education has completely changed Emma’s career and now she has become a popular name among the Netflix subscribers. Emma even admitted that she wasn’t a popular star before her breakout role as Maeve Wiley.
When it was asked how the Sex Education has changed her life. She said “There’ve been a few ways. Professionally, the show has opened up a lot of doors and I’ve been very lucky to meet and work with absolute living legends since the show came out. So I feel very very thankful for that. And then, I think it’s just given me a tiny bit more confidence in myself which is nice. So I’m keeping that and cherishing that and using it as a driving force for anything that comes next”
Well, clearly the show has changed Emma’s career drastically. Today she’s on the cover of the big magazines. That’s not it! She just finished filming Eiffel with Romain Duris which is her first movie in French which is based on a true story. Moreover, she will also shine on screen with Gal Gadot in Death On The Nile.
