This teen drama show which was only released last year on the streaming platform Netflix has been very popular and now since its season 2 aired recently, it comes with some more revelations.
The very interesting and superbly trending show “Never Have I Ever” came up with its season 2 and fans are all over the place and are finding it difficult to control their excitement. Although aren’t backing down under the pressure from their fans and came up with something very exciting, the show isn’t backing down under the pressure from their fans. The narrator of the show has been changed (and for the better).
Supermodel and very glamorous ‘GIGI HADID’ replaced the previous narrator of the show ‘CHRISSY TEIGEN’. The show which is somewhat based on the life of ‘Mindy Kaling’ released last year during the pandemic and gained immense popularity and not only that, it came back with its 2nd season which only sired last week on Netflix.
THE STORYLINE: NEVER HAVE I EVER SEASON 2
The storyline revolves around a young girl named ‘Devi Vishwakumar’ (aka Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) who is an Indian – American girl with lots of high schools drama and is trying to manage her school life, boys in her life (personal life), and also the overbearing nature of her mother. Her life goes through a transformation wherein she goes from being the overachiever in her class to a girl recognized as an overachiever in the boys’ department. She is having a difficult time, stuck in a love triangle and struggling between 2 boys, Paxton (Darren Barnet) and Ben (Jarren Lewison).
THE REASON BEHIND THE REPLACEMENT
Netflix just aired the 2nd season of the series and it reveals that Teigen, who was the narrator of the show, was interestingly replaced by Gigi Hadid, in the 3rd episode of the series. Chrissy was made to step down from the role in June after she was found making some below-the-belt comments at a 16-year-old model named ‘Courtney Stodden’. The 3rd episode from where Hadid takes over is titled “….opened a textbook’, where Paxton learns about Devi having second thoughts about their relationship and having feelings for Ben, which obviously he doesn’t like and doesn’t handle effectively.
It is no surprise Netflix picked Gigi for the role because she has the same A-list status and also adds quirkiness to the role of the narrator which is required in a show like this. Luckily for the makers, Teigen was only narrating in the show so it wasn’t very difficult to replace her. This dramatic high school series is everything that all of us have experienced during our high school days, making it very relatable and increasing the binge’s binge worthiness.
Do watch it on NETFLIX and grasp all the funny, quirky, romantic high school dramas.
