Mulan, the upcoming live-action from Disney Plus will not be having favorite songs of fans from the animated original of 1998. Though, the new film made one concession to the song of the old film.
Christina Aguilera was invited to sing a new song for the remake that is titled “Loyal, Brave, True,”. Also, she was provided with a re-recording of her track “Reflection” from the original.
The studio has released the new song along with the music video. It was directed by Niki Caro, the film’s helmer. The video features Aguilera, following the Chinese fashions.
The backdrop is red and features some of the clips of the movie.
Like many of the live-action reboots of Disney Plus, the Mulan remake is facing backlash since its announcement.
Few of the fans were happy to hear the song. They were happy that Mushu the dragon would not be part.
Song Is Being Appreciated But Not By All
And sure enough, Aguilera’s recent song is being appreciated by some, while others feel unhappy in comparison to first composition “Reflection.”
Mulan was supposed to have a premiere in March but due to the pandemic, it did not take place. The dates were pushed till September 4th till the things did not settle down.
At that time, the screening will take place. The movie will be screened in whichever cinemas will be available at that time. But there are more chances that it will get a release on Disney plus as well. Subscribers will be supposed to pay $29.99 to watch the film. This charge is in addition to the subscription fee of Disney plus. Then only, users will be able to watch the film, as many times as they want.
The song is one of the hyped ones for the remake for sure. But it is making a large number of people happy.
