Preorders for PlayStation 5 are about to begin at the retailers. But the already traffic from early adopters looks like too much for GameStop. However, Sony has announced the release date and price of the PS5. It is also revealed that the preorders for PlayStation 5 will go live from tomorrow.
Though, players were waiting for a long to learn all the important things about PS5. Be it the price or release date of the next-generation console. Only a few months before the arrival of new consoles, Microsoft announced that Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X will be available at $299 and $499 respectively from 10th November.
The authorized confirmation arrived just hours after plausible leaks disclosed not only that information but also the truth of the Series S in the first place, along with the glance of the console.
Now, Sony has finally hoisted the lid on the PlayStation 5, and it looks like that not everyone was ready for the news. While Sony says that preorders for PlayStation 5 are meant to begin on September 17th, some dealers made preorders for PlayStation 5 available early, on the twilight of the 16th. That seems to be causing difficulties, as GameStop’s website has wrecked, probably from traffic due to enthusiasts looking to get their needles on a next-gen console fast.
GameStop Facing Error Due To Preorders For PlayStation 5
Across Twitter, society is noting the same error jerking when they attempt to access GameStop’s website, which seems to be the kind of countermeasure that sites use to insure themselves against DDOS attacks, probably triggered by the abundance of people checking for preorders of PlayStation 5.
The rollout of preorders of PlayStation 5 is happening much differently than even Sony looks to have scheduled for. Earlier in the year, Sony Worldwide head of marketing Eric Lempel appeared on Geoff Keighley’s reveal stream for the PS5’s DualSense controller and soothes players that Sony would give them considerable notice before preorders of PlayStation went live. Technically, Sony hasn’t inaugurated its own preorders of PlayStation / yet, but even so, giving less than a day’s report for direct preorders from Sony while allowing dealers to open their own a day runs counter to what the console maker assured.
Regardless of the opening of preorders of PlayStation 5 so handled, there are many fans who are eager to secure their console early.
