The forthcoming Prince of Persia remake for the PlayStation 4 has been leaked by a Guatemalan retailer. The pictures leaked will now show the game’s early listing that too when the game is not announced officially. The franchise is very popular among the masses still a brand-new Prince of Persia title has never come out in the past.
Till now there is no official news regarding the series’ next installment. However, for a long time, Prince of Persia has started to show up a lot.
Ubisoft reveals the VR Escape Room in Prince of Persia: The Dagger of time
A VR escape room is being developed in the Prince of Persia: The Dagger of time. Ubisoft’s revelation regarding the escape room didn’t receive much appreciation from the fans. As the fans might have imagined for a more traditional follow-up. However, fans’ hopes were revitalized when titular prince surprisingly appeared in For Honor. But then again, no news of Prince of Persia followed it. After eight empty years, a previously canceled Prince of Persia reboot’s footage started resurfacing YouTube. So, all these appearances in 2020 have raised the fan’s expectations for the announcement of Prince of Persia.
Ken Xyro, a Twitter user shared a screenshot representing two distinct listings for Prince of Persia. One listing for PlayStation 4 and the other one for Switch. The picture shared shows a concept of art and the Prince of Persia logo on its top. As soon as the picture went viral, Jason Schreier, a Bloomberg game reporter backed the report. He posted, “Video game retailers sure love leaking Ubisoft’s surprise announcements.”
Ubisoft Forward to happen again in September this year
During Ubisoft’s E3 (Ubisoft Forward) which happened in July. Ubisoft showed various forthcoming titles like Far Cry 6, Watch Dog: Legion, and Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. No mention of Prince of Persia was there during that time. However, a second Ubisoft Forward will take place in September and it will have more games. It will also hold a special surprise for the reveal of Prince of Persia.
Whenever a famous game franchise disappears from the market for the longest time. Fake news and rumors are bound to make rounds. So, take the news in but with a pinch of salt. Even if the listing that out ends up being a fake one. Prince of Persia game will still be in development. Let us wait for the Ubisoft Forward September launch as it will make many things clear.
