Black Skull, Marvel’s Heroes Reborn just did something beyond any nightmare that a Marvel fan could have had, a venomised Red Skull.
“Black Skull”: Red Skull And Venom Combo, What’s the worst thing that could happen in the Marvel Universe? Dracula walking in the sun after consuming Captain America’s blood? Iron Man’s arc reactor exploding while in Tony Stark’s chest? These are some thoughts that haunt every Marvel fan. In the world of Heroes Reborn, one such unimaginable thing happened, the Red Skull got possession and control of a Venom Symbiote, turning into the most frightening Villain combo: The Black Skull. This brand new Villain is showcased in a special variant cover for Captain America #29 by artist Carlos Pacheco.
Introducing The New Villainous Combos
The Heroes Reborn depicts an unfamiliar reality, one which was changed by the unknown. This altered reality was one in which the world never witnessed the age of the Avengers. Some key events in this reality caused a chain of events that prevented the Avengers from ever being formed. Thor never lifted his Hammer, Mjolnir, because he was not worthy and Captain America never walked in the modern age of heroes because remained frozen in ice.
With no one to guard the Earth, the Squadron Supreme rose to power as Earth’s defenders protecting it in the way they saw fit. Generally, this world is doomed, the ray of hope is long extinguished and the weirdest possible combos roam the Earth, such as Doctor Doom and Juggernaut.
The Black Skull
The Black Skull was showcased in all his might in the cover titled “The Skull Of Venom.” With an army of darkly clothed HYDRA agents following him, the black skull was all prepared to fight the Squadron Supreme, while he himself was covered in his brand new black and red symbiote suit with a distorted skull logo on it. Imagine the grossest looking thing and then double it, that’s what came to be when disgusting-looking symbiotes combined with the terrible-looking Red Skull. What’s to wonder is how this dark entity came to be, since Peter Parker never transcended in his alter ego Spiderman in this reality, there is not much that could have bought the symbiote to Earth.
Considering his nefarious nature, the Red Skull must have acquired it by killing its previous wielder. There are not many limits to the powers of the symbiote, and it being in the skull’s possession generally suggests at some point he will attempt to combine his new arsenal with his soldiers in order to create a deadly unstoppable force, one that hasn’t been witnessed before.
The Heroes Reborn world may depict an unfamiliar Marvel Universe, one that no one is ready for. The issue, written by Ta’Neshi Coates with art by Leonard Kirk, will be available in stores and on all digital comics platforms on April 4th, 2021. The amount of damage that the symbiotes can cause is massive and when you give it to a madman like Red Skull, you have got yourself a really twisted pair so the readers should expect a blast in the future of Marvel Universe.
