It’s just not the finest time to be a Flash fan. There is just one heartbreak after another waiting for the loyal Flash fans. Firstly season 6 had to meet an early end thanks to the ongoing pandemic, with the season-ending on episode 19 instead of episode 22 which was originally planned to be the series finale of season 6 of The Flash. It was a moment of short-lived happiness when the seventh season premiered on March 2, 2021, which instantly turned into grief after the fans watched the first episode.

The Fall Of Team Flash

Season 6 brought a ton of bad luck for team flash. So much bad stuff happened that it’s hard to list them all. Iris and Kamilla got trapped into the mirror verse along with the chief of police David Singh. Eva McCulloch a.k.a. Mirror Mistress used the better of Iris and escaped the mirror verse while leaving her trapped there. The Flash lost his Super Speed as a result of the death of Speedforce which couldn’t contain the power boost of the Specter’s energy. With so much despair to handle, came the first episode of season 7 which brought yet another tragedy with it.

Since the time Barry learned that his days as a speedster were numbered, Team Flash began their attempts at building an ASF or Artificial Speed Force, getting the idea from the most loved villain of the series- The Reverse Flash (Eobard Thawne), Flash’s arch-nemesis. The latest attempt of building the ASF ended up in a disaster when the consciousness of all the Wells of the multiverse got transferred into the mind of Barry Allen. To save the cerebral function of Barry Allen and to give him his speed back, Nash Wells sacrificed his life by serving as an organic receptor for the ASF. Even after all this, the bad luck continues the situation immediately goes sideways when the flash lost his emotions and ends up taking down his own team.

Harrison Wells- Key Member Of Team Flash

Harrison Wells has been a key member of Team Flash since season 1 even though the Wells in season 1 was an imposter Eobard Thawne who murdered and replaced the original Harrison Wells. Each season of The Flash brought about the story of a different Wells and the audience fell in love with every single one of them, let it be the story of Harry Wells, HR Wells, Sherloque Wells, or Nash Wells. All of the Wells made major contributions to the Flash’s victory against the villains and proved their importance.

All of those stories came to an end when Nash Wells sacrificed himself for the ASF as he was hosting the consciousness of all the Wells. This was thought to be the end of the story of the Council Of Wells, however, the climax of the second episode of season 7 teased the return of the original Harrison Wells from Earth 1 who became a victim of the Reverse-Flash and has been dead ever since. A new sequence showed green particles floating up out of that grave. These particles combined to form a humanoid shape, which coalesced into a physical form.

Eventually, they left a very confused Wells standing just above the soil where he was buried. He soon heaved a sigh of relief, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, as the episode cut to another title card: “To be continued…” This might very well be the starting of the tale of the last remaining Harrison Wells. Whether his resurrection would be short-lived or last long or if he even is the original Harrison Wells or a new Villain in action is still a question. From the look of it, one can believe that the time of TomCavanagh, who plays the roles of all the Wells, on the show is still far from over.
