The review of Lupin Season 2

Review Of Netflix’s Lupin Season 2

What started out as a normal series with a limited cast and a great storyline turned out to be a dark horse and fans were eagerly waiting for Lupin season 2.

Netflix Lupin season 1 was released earlier this year and turned out to be quite a success. This crime thriller series is based on the retelling of the famous French story of Arsene Lupin who was a world-renowned thief and a master of disguise. Not only it was nice but soon turned out to be a fan favorite and fans demanded another season.

Lupin Season 2 Review

The 2nd season which was released on 11th June is merely the continuation of the first season and takes the story forward from where we left it off. Season 1 ended with Assane Diop(aka Omar Sy) being kidnapped and was in a dangerous position. Lupin’s “Lupin tactic” didn’t work well and his son was abducted from under his nose and he also lost Claire’s trust due to this. This leads the game of cat and mouse to be converted into a personal game for the character. Lupin wants to obtain justice for his father and also save his son and therefore he comes back as a 2.0 version of even himself in season 2.

STORYLINE OF LUPIN SEASON 2

With the stakes being so high, Lupin tries not to betray which made part 1 very interesting. The series continues to showcase a 360-degree view by showcasing many characters all at once. Part 2, however, is less complex in comparison to part 1, but this may be mainly because Lupin has very little time to formulate his plans. But being less complex isn’t necessarily a bad thing and with the main objective getting closer and the finale approaching, the building tension is justified.

Netflix Lupin Season 2

Lupin focuses on the problems of wealth and how rich people can easily mend their way by supplying cash in loopholes. Hubert extensively plans to leave the past in the past and move on in his life and Assane is trying to fight back with lots of obstacles created for him. The story though may seem simple but is full of surprises and twists and action too.

Assane certainly resembles the alternate James Bond image but if there’s any chance of season 3, writers will have to come up with a new storyline. The whole point of season 2 is to provide closure to Assane’s story related to his father. A new part means an entirely different storyline but it can’t be put aside entirely because of the popularity of the show.
