A new steaming rumor from Black Widow claims that Florence Pugh will reprise her role of Yelena Belova for the upcoming Disney+ series which will have Hawkeye in starlight.
Black Widow star Florence Pugh has a lot to show in Marvel Cinematic Universe
According to a report by The Direct Florence Pugh is going to reprise her role of Yelena Belova in Hawkeye’s upcoming Disney+ series. The rumors also claim that Yelena will be seen in a suit similar to Ronin garb Clint Barton sported in Avengers: Endgame.
Pugh is all set to portray the role of Yelena Belova in the upcoming Black Widow series which is expected to see its debut in 2021. According to the comic, Yelena Belova was the second character to bear the mantle of Black Widow and believed herself to be the rightful successor to the title. After the mutant Sauron brutally burned her body with her fire breath, she shook hand with Hydra who augmented her body with tech stolen from Avengers’ Foe. After Natasha lost her life during the event of the Secret Empire, Yelena again took up the Black Widow’s mantle to heal her fallen predecessor.
The Hawkeye’s upcoming Disney+ series will spotlight light on Clint Barton’s life as he relocates in New York City and train Kate Bishop as his protègè. Hawkeye’s production was recently halted due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Marvel Studios intends to begin its slate of television shows with WandaVision, which will debut on Disney+ on Jan. 15, 2021.
Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, O-T Fagbenle as Mason, and Rachel Weisz. The film is currently planned to arrive in theaters on May 7, 2021.
