The Release Date of The Boys in the Band sequel:
The Boys in the Band released on 30th Sep 2020. The film received immense love from the critics and viewers. Now, when we can expect a sequel to the film? As of now, there’s no official announcement released yet regarding the sequel. However, if there will be any then we can expect it to release sometime in 2022 or later.
What can be the plot?
Talking about the plot of the sequel, so the filmmakers won’t have to look far for inspiration. As Mart Crowley written the original play in 1968, followed up the story with a sequel in 2002. In the first part, they all gathered to celebrate Harold’s birthday party. And this time, the reason for a reunion will not be an event to celebrate. They all will be gathered on the day of Larry’s funeral. Followed by play, the funeral will take place at the same apartment of Michael. However, there’s no assurance whether the filmmakers will choose the same storyline or they might choose a different path for the movie.
In fact, the film does have things a little different from the original play, especially the ending where we see Michael (Jim Parson) running away towards someone. Till then we are hoping for the best.

The film starred—Jim Parsons as Michael, Matt Bomer as Donald, Charlie Carver as Cowboy, Andrew Rannells as Larry, Zachary Quinto as Harold, Tuc Watkins as Hank, Robin De Jesus as Emory, Michael Benjamin Washington as Bernard, and Brian Hutchison as Alan.
