Chiwetel Ejiofor has himself confirmed that he is being a part of Doctor Strange 2 by Sam Raimi.
The multiverse of Madness of Doctor Strange is planning to welcome back the villain from their own films. Chiwetel Ejiofor has played Baron Mordo in MCU. Chiwetel Ejiofor will be returning back to a sequel by of the 2016 film by Sam Raimi. He has mentioned his plans during the promotion of Netflix‘s The Old Guard. “We’re hoping to start pretty soon is what I can tell you,” he said. Also, he said, So, you know, as soon as possible. We’re all really excited to get going and to get cracking with it I can’t wait.”
He has now joined the list of announced cast members. But there are still many characters who are rumored to be played by certain actors. The list needs to be officially announced. Benedict Cumberbatch will also be seen in the sequel.

Mordo has played the role of Doctor Strange’s friend and mentor in the first film by Scott Derrickson. He has helped Strange to defeat Kaecilius and Dormammu. Though he has become disillusioned soon. And thus, he is seen last in the post-credits scene, teasing his villainous turn.
Doctor Strange had trouble in the production since long since it had been announced. In January, Sam Raimi joined the project as Derrickson left it in between. Raimi took the directorial duty. This had affected its release as well. The date was shifted to 25th March 2022 from 5th November 2021. This made the space for Marvel’s untitled Spider-Man movie.
The news of Ejiofor coming back is holding no questions as fans are super exciting. The production of the sequel will start soon. It has been delayed for a long time because of the coronavirus pandemic. Whenever the filming will start, we know Ejiofor is surely a part of Doctor Strange 2.
