Stephen Amell, known for his portrayal of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow on the hit CW series “Arrow,” recently spoke about his potential return to the role in the DC Universe.
In an interview with Geek House Show, Amell revealed that he is open to donning the superhero’s mask again, but only under certain conditions. He stated that if given the opportunity, he would prefer to play the character in his own movie, as this would allow him to explore the character and story in a way that was not possible on television.
Despite being a fan-favorite, “Arrow” did have its share of challenges and limitations, and Amell stated that he would like the opportunity to address some of these issues in a standalone film. He also mentioned that he has not yet been approached by DC Studios about reprising the role, but believes there is always a chance that it could happen.
Amell is no stranger to the role of Green Arrow, having played the character for eight seasons on “Arrow.” The series served as the launching point for the entire Arrowverse, introducing characters that went on to star in their own series and spinoffs. While the show received mixed reviews as it went on, it remained a fan favorite until its final episode.
