Stranger Things star David Harbour says goodbye to Fry’s Electronics
David Harbour’s Stranger Things has been a sensational hit since its release. Exploring a new genre of horror with a younger cast than usual. The fans absolutely loved the amazing screenplay and the brilliant work by talented young actors, but it would be unfair to say that the senior cast on the show has no part in the smashing success of the show. Netflix’s Stranger Things premiered on July 15, 2016, with a story revolving around the disappearance of a young boy due to supernatural reasons while a strange young girl with abilities appears in town.
The show quickly rose to popularity and two more seasons of the series were released. Although the kid cast was the center of attraction for the viewers, the senior cast including David Harbour did a splendid job in helping the show reach even higher. Unfortunately, in order to stop the nefarious motives of the Russians, Jim Hopper, played by David Harbour, did what was necessary. His actions were not less than that of a hero and so the character appeared to have died at the end of the third season.
However, fans suspected that he might return in the upcoming fourth season, considering the love Jim Hopper received and this was confirmed when a teaser was released last year, which revealed that our Beloved Hopper was alive and well not so well, as he was being held in Russia as a prisoner.
David’s Farewell To Fry’s Electronics
According to CNN, Fry’s Electronics went out of business and had to be shut down and so David decided to say his goodbyes to Fry’s Electronics located in Georgia and he did that through an Instagram post in which he expressed how much the stores meant to him.
“When I die, spread my ashes in the board game section of the now permanently closed Fry’s electronics in Alpharetta, Georgia. If heaven exists, it will look like aisle 18, the janky two-button mouse and laptop external USB number pad section. Such love. Such devotion to the dead. God bless you Fry’s. You were the pureblood heir to king radio shack’s throne, and in my memory, your niche novelty casts a broad and noble shadow beside that titan Best Buy,” he captioned in the post.
Hopper’s Return to Hawkins
Although David’s character was depicted to be dead in the last season, it was never meant to end there. In a recent interview, David Harbour revealed that he was always aware of the date of his character and yet he chooses not to reveal it in order to create a moment of excitement when the character returned. “I knew. We knew. We had talked about it,” Harbour shared with Total Film regarding Hopper’s return.
“I just wanted to preserve the fantasy for everyone. And it’s such a weird position that we’re in now with so much media, that everybody wants to talk to you about it“, he stated.
Therefore, the fans can rest assured as their beloved Jim Hopper is coming back in the fourth installment of the series, although it is still unclear when the series will come out.
