Diablo was decided to get survived in Suicide Squad, the reshooting of the film had added the idea of his death. Warner Bros. was having difficulty while getting their superhero off the ground. Because of the negative reviews with Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. Even after adapting so much for the sake of fams from the comic books, Suicide Squad lost its chasm early and had trouble connecting with audiences.
Suicide Squad has to settle concurrently with a group of villains that consisted of Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Diablo, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and Slipknot. The film has concentrated mostly on Harley Quinn and Deadshot. Unfortunately, it has sidelined the characters of Joker and Slipknot. The latter of whom has been murdered at the onset of the mission. Diablo has earned the limelight in the last act of the movie. He has forfeited himself to eradicate Incubus (the brother of Enchantress).
But originally he was not supposed to die.
Director of Suicide Squad, David Ayer had recently reacted to a fan inquiring about Diablo’s destiny in Ayer’s initial script. Ayer had verified that Diablo was about to live, but his demise was added during the reshooting of the film.
The Original Version Of Suicide Squad Varies From Reshot Version
Since Suicide Squad’s release, lovers have been made conscious of the reshooting that Warner Bros. has taken to lighten the mood of the film. Ayer has talked several times about how much the ultimate version of Suicide Squad varies from his writing. He has even acknowledged that he has rendered faults with Harley Quinn’s personality development. Even Jared Leto has talked over the numerous scenes with the Joker that have been cut. These scenes tied into one of the massive objections fans had with Suicide Squad. Given the extreme modifications that seem to have been brought about to the film, some fans have summoned Warner Bros. to broadcast the Ayer Cut of the movie.
Since 2016, the DCEU has enriched itself with fans and critics. Warner Bros. is now giving more creative custody to directors and concentrating on fascinating programs rather than creating a vast universe. Fans are striving that the studio provides James Gunn entire creative custody of The Suicide Squad. And with this, many can’t help but admire, if El Diablo could be included in the sequel.
Only chosen characters from the Suicide Squad are returning back for Gunn’s film. It seems Diablo will not be part of the film, as he has been killed earlier in the first film.
