According to some information coming up from Deadline star Melissa Benoist, The CW, producers made the decision of ending the series with a long finale season. The cast is going to be the same except Benoist, who announced her pregnancy earlier this year. She’ll begin work on the upcoming season later on.
The rating of Supergirl was so high that it made the news even more surprising, additionally, Supergirl is not the oldest series in the Arrowverse series as the Flash is going to enter in its 7th season and The legends of tomorrow are going to see it’s 6th season.
