Superman and Lois Season 2 confirmed by Elizabeth Tulloch on her social media.
Superman and Lois Season 2, It’s amazing how far we have come since the beginning of the Arrowverse in 2012 and now the very own series of the Boy Scout in Blue is carrying the torch forward on the path that Arrow started them on. Superman’s very own series “Superman and Lois” premiered on February 23, 2021, and instantly became popular. It got a 1.75 million viewer count and a 0.4 demo rating, giving CW its largest audience in two years since January 29, 2019, when new The Flash and Rosewell, New Mexico air.
Superman and Lois also had the best single-day viewership numbers for a new program on The CW’s streaming platform. And following this stunning success, CW announced the renewal of Superman and Lois season 2.
Superman and Lois’ Story And Success
Superman and Lois is a spin-off of the other Arrowverse shows with Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch reprising their roles of Kal-El a.k.a. Clark Kent a.k.a Superman and Lois Lane respectively. It also stars Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent, Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, Wolé Parks as The Stranger, Adam Rayner as Morgan Edge with Dylan Walsh as General Samuel Lane, and Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang Cushing. The show follows the story of Kal El returning to his childhood home Smallville with his wife Lois and their two teenage sons. What’s to wonder is how did the couple got two sons who are teenagers already.
Lois Lane was revealed to be pregnant in the “Elseworlds” annual crossover event and she became a mother and was blessed with a son in “Crisis Of Infinite Earths.” When the Spectre/ Oliver Queen recreated the universe after defeating the Anti- Monitor, a lot of changes were conceived and at the end of the series, it was revealed that one of these changes was Superman and Lois had two twin sons instead of just one. It’s safe to assume that those two twin babies are the teenage sons we’re watching in “Superman and Lois.” The decision to renew the series so early was driven by the premiere of Superman and Lois, which contributed to The CW’s highest-rated night in primetime.
Mark Pedowitz, The CEO of CW Network, stated in a press release that “The phenomenal multiplatform debut of Superman and Lois, which delivered for us in a big way on both a linear and streaming basis, is a testament to the creativity, hard work, and dedication of the talented people who worked tirelessly in front of and behind the camera, especially in this challenging environment.”
Celebrating The Success
Superman and Lois Season 2, The biggest celebration for the stunning success of Superman and Lois is its renewal no doubt. Its success is a result of the contribution of a lot of people, the lead stars are of course among them. Considering the massive milestone that Superman and Lois have hit, it’s safe to say that the show has a very long road up ahead.
