In the last episode of Stranger Thing’s season 3, Billy was killed by the Mind Flayer. But some think that not Mind Flayer but Suzie is the real reason behind the death of Billy.
Is Suzie the real reason behind the death of Billy? But as the episode says Billy Hargrove was killed by the Mind Flayer while he was trying to stop the evil attacking Eleven during the finale episode of Stranger Things Season 3. But still blames Suzie for Billy’s death. In the wake of the third season, the audience discovered that Suzie is Dustin’s real girlfriend whom he met at the Science camp.
Suzie was introduced during the episode “The Battle of Starcourt,” Hopper and Joyce try to close the gate by shutting all the machines down but before to get in the lab there was another level Murray Bauman provides them with the incorrect code for Planck’s constant
Here Is Coming The Reason Behind The Death Of Billy
While Dustin stresses that he needs that code to save the world, he connects to Suzie over their own discoveries to ask her for the code. At that moment Suzie wasn’t able to understand the seriousness of the moment and she decides to keep the number a mystery until Dustin sings her the song “The Never Ending Story”. Somewhere Dustin and Suzie’s duet delayed Hopper and Joyce proceedings, which forced Billy to sacrifice his life for saving Eleven, Max, and his friends. And thus, this is the reason behind the death of Billy.
Other than this very situation there were many other events in the season, that could have contributed to Billy’s Death. Mind Flayer thoroughly corrupted Billy’s mind it could be possible that Billy was already dying before sacrificing his life. All the citizens who were under Mind Flayer’s control caused unknown damage to their bodies. During Episode 2 of season 3, Billy was even seen drinking pool chemicals. In season 2 of the series, Will was seen drinking that chemical to deconstruct their bodies into the goo that the Mind Flayer used to create its own body so it could physically exist in our dimension.
Some said that it’s Suzie and Dustin’s song that led to the death of Billy but there were some other characters whose actions can be responsible for Billy’s sacrifice. Practically if Murray had remembered the code then there no need to connect to Suzie. Joyce also could be blamed as she delayed closing the gate for sharing some sentimental moments with Jim Hopper.
The one who is really responsible for the death of Billy is the writers. Replacing Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) as a secondary antagonist within season 2, Billy needed an extreme act of redemption in order to be more likable within season 3. So somewhere it is clear that The delays caused by the other characters were then contrived by the writers to make Billy’s sacrifice necessary.
