Kaley Cuoco wants to get The Big Bang Theory reunion. Scroll down to know whether the reunion will happen or not?
The series finale of this popular CBS sitcom came out in May 2019. Although the show is off the air for only two years or so, Cuoco who has able Handel played the character of Penny for nearly twelve seasons and has expressed her wish to give The Big Bang Theory the same type of reunion that fellow adored sitcoms like “Will & Grace” and “Roseanne” have had in recent years. The Flight Attendant star revealed in an interview with E! News, “I would definitely be open to some sort of reunion show, I can’t wait for the ‘Friends’ one, and so I’m definitely open to doing one ourselves as well.”
This was said by Cuoco in reference to the Friends Reunion, the 1990 sitcom is coming together 25 years after the finale came out. The Friends reunion is going to be an unscripted special where the entire ensemble cast meets. The reunion special is all set to air in the future after being halted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Although Cuoco clearly states that she is all for a reunion, she is aware that the show has not been off the air for too long and thus die-hard fans of The Big Bang Theory might not be as excited for the reunion yet. Admitting to this she said, “It does still feel like yesterday that we wrapped, I think everyone is kind of trying out their new paths and seeing what their next project is, and I’m excited to see how everyone flourishes.”

The 35 year old actor does not also have to count on this reunion as she has already been thriving since the show ended, starring and producing critically acclaimed shows like “The Flight Attendant” and “Harley Quinn” the former of which received a Golden Globe nomination.
Cuoco further added, “I think in a few years or whenever anyone’s open to it, I definitely will be down for that. It was a life-changing experience for all of us, and it’d be great to do that for the fans, too, because we had such an amazing fan base that stuck with us for so long.”
Apart from finding immense success after the Big Bang Theory, Cuoco also mentioned that she does not really has a reason to miss her former co stars as they are still pretty cordial to each other and still in touch.
On this note, she said this about her on screen husband and off screen ex, “Johnny [Galecki] and I are very close, We talk multiple times a week. In fact, he literally—as this phone call started—he had just sent me a picture of his baby.”
Whether a reunion is on the cards or not, we are excited for it when it happens.
