With such an action-packed season 2, excitement is pumped to know what is going to happen in The Boys Season 3. The finale episode of season 2 is still giving goosebumps to fans and even though it gave some hints of where the stories are going to take a turn, with a confirmed detail of Solider Boy joining The Boys season 3.
With The Boys Season 3, Soldier Boy Is To Enter Modern Days
Initially, the arrival of Soldier Boy was already set up during season 2. Soldier Boy was mentioned by Vought CEO Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito) in the first episode of the season. Which made it obvious that he was one of Vought’s earliest supes. He spent his years taking down the Nazis during World War II and will enter the modern days with The Boys Season 3. Those who have read Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s The Boys comics, though, know that Soldier Boy was the leader of his team.
Solider Boys entry confirmed that his superhero team Payback will also be there in The Boys season 3. Showrunner Eric Kripke revealed that Payback is the name that is given to the first episode of Season 3. He confirmed the team was “The Seven before The Seven” in the history of the show, and they’ll be used to explore the history of America in the process.
With the confirmation of The Boys season 3 featuring the Payback, Kripke explains that Soldier Boy’s entire supporting cast will be there. Soldier Boy’s Payback teammates included Tek Knight, Stormfront, Swatto, Mind-Droid, Crimson Countess, and Eagle the Archer in the comics. A storm front was already there in season 2, so this can come out as an opportunity for her to get herself out of the flashbacks. The show also confirmed the existence of Crimson Countess and Eagle the Archer.
Payback’s introduction will continue The Boys’ ability to parody Marvel, as the team was a parody of the Avengers in the comics. So it goes like Solider Boy is a parody of Captain America, Tek Knight is Iron Man, Stormfront is Thor, Swatto is Ant-Man, Mind-Droid is Vision, Crimson Countess is Scarlet Witch, and Eagle the Archer is Hawkeye.
