A team of fans has taken a step to continue the legacy of DC Animated Universe, they have created a webcomic that you continue the iconic story of their favorite character.
Ever since the Justice League Unlimited saw its end in 2016, followers haven’t got a single chance to return to DCAU. In response, a team of superfans has taken a step and created webcomics titled Legacies of DC Animated Comics from DC Animated Universe that continues the story of their favorite DC character.
The Journey of DC Animated Universe was started in 1992 with Batman: The Animated and continued with Superman: The Animated Series, Batman: The New Adventures, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, The Zeta Project, Justice League, and concluded with Justice League Unlimited. In recent years many, DCEU witnessed some different reanimation with titles like Batman: The Adventures Continue and Justice League vs The Fatal Five. Now, the Legacies team is putting its spin on the continuing DCAU adventures. With Ted Kendrick as the lead writer and James Strecker as a lead artist a creative team is collaborating with a range of contributing artists, writers, and colorists to continues the legacy of DCEU. Mattie Washburn has also came forward and contributed as the timeline advisor.
Legacy of DC Animated Universe
For the most part, Legacies is an anthology series, that is going to deliver the answer to the questions that fans had about the shows aired in recent years. Issue #7 “Scary Things” detect the mystery of the scarecrow’s evolving character design over the years, going from a simple Halloween costume in Batman: The Animated Series to a terrifying zombie-like creature in Batman: The New Adventures. The team is going to deliver some new chapter in the series as the team came up revealed what they think happened in the year that almost led to the end of the world.
Kendrick and Strecker are currently working on opening the tribute series to collaborations with readers. The next issue will mark the tenth chapter of Legacies and is set to release before the end of the year on their site, LegaciesDCAU.
