This is a great year for MCU fans after the pandemic ruined their last one. There’s a lot in store for fans to keep them thrilled this year. It’s only been two weeks since WandaVision ended and another great Marvel show is taking its place. After a long wait, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is finally here. The much-anticipated series is of great significance both for the studios and the fans and so it received an immense amount of love and support from fans across the globe. However, the fans were not the only ones supporting the newly released series, they also received much support from their co-workers in the MCU, Wanda, and Vision to be specific. WandaVision’s star cast Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany came forward in support of the series in the form of an awkward video message. This special video message was posted in Marvel Studio’s official Twitter account, hours before the release of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
The Message Carrying Their Support
Elizabeth Olsen, who plays the role of Wanda Maximoff, and Paul Bettany, who plays the role of Vision, filmed a short and awkward message in support of MCU’s latest series The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. This is a nice gesture considering how Anthony Mackie, who portrays the role of the Falcon, and Sebastian Stan, who portrays the role of the Winter Soldier, sent their support for WandaVision. The message was as follows:-
E. Olsen- “Hello Anthony, Sebastian, and the entire cast of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”
P. Bettany- “We are so excited to see you guys together in the best Marvel team-up yet. Well, after Lizzie and I cleared the way for you.”
The message was seemingly filmed in a short interval and the actors didn’t really get a chance to talk beforehand as to when Bettany starts talking about WandaVision’s finale, Olsen stops him suggesting that they shouldn’t give away spoilers. They continued:-
E. Olsen-“Wait, what do you mean cleared the way? We’re still here you know? And, we’re still a team…”
P. Bettany- “Of course we are, we are! Are we? Are we though?”
The Falcon And The Winter Soldier
The series would definitely be a crucial part in the lives of both the heroes and would end up deciding their fate in the MCU. The series goes on to revolve around the life of Sam (Falcon) and Bucky (Winter Soldier) after the retirement of their old friend and ally, Steve Rogers- Captain America. It would highlight the challenges Sam faces while stepping into the Captain America’s shoes while attempting to take up his place. On the other hand, Bucky would have to make peace with his dark past in order to move forward as a hero.
The duo would be engaged in an action-packed battle against a number of villains, old and new. Barron Zemo from Captain America: Civil War, the guy who caused the avengers to split into two, would be returning to take up his role in a more comic accurate fashion. The government’s choice for Cap’s replacement- John Walker would also be facing off against the duo while a new threat emerges in the form of Flag- Smashers- a mysterious group of villains. MCU never ceases to amaze us with all its interesting projects and considering how close the cast and crew members are with each other off-camera, it is obvious why Bettany and Olsen came forward in support of the series.
