The Haunting of Bly Manor will be released on October 9. It is based on the 1898 horror novel “The Turn of the Screw” written by Henry James.
It does not only have creepy children who are singing creepy songs and playing with creepy dolls, but it has much more.
The trailer for The Haunting of Bly Manor
Netflix describes The Haunting of Bly Manor (set in England), “After an au pair’s tragic death, Henry Wingrave (Henry Thomas) hires a young American nanny (Victoria Pedretti) to care for his orphaned niece and nephew (Amelie Bea Smith, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) who reside at Bly Manor with the estate’s chef Owen (Rahul Kohli), groundskeeper Jamie (Amelia Eve) and housekeeper, Mrs. Grose (T’Nia Miller). But all is not as it seems at the manor, and centuries of dark secrets of love and loss are waiting to be unearthed in this chilling gothic romance. At Bly Manor, dead doesn’t mean gone.”
Many cast members of The Haunting of Hill House are returning to play new characters in The Haunting of Bly Manor. It has a complete standalone story.
Mike Flanagan revealed that season 2 will draw more than one of James’ stories. “It’s a cool way to expand on some of the things I loved about Season 1, but within the framework of a different story, without having to be restrained by the decisions we made last time. For Henry James fans, it’s going to be pretty wild, and for people who aren’t familiar with his work, it’s going to be unbelievably scary. I already think it’s much scarier than Season 1, so I’m very excited about it.”
The Haunting of Bly Manor will be broadcasted globally on Netflix on October 9, 2020.
