Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are unarguably one of the best couples not only in the DC universe but in general. Their love does end in a sad yet satisfactory ending, there is a lot more of beauty to their relationship than most other romances ever depicted.
DC Love is a battlefield is roaring the comic fans with the story of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. They are the most power-packed and spectacular couples in the universe. In this comic a part of the valentine’s day compilation, the couple has quite the perfect love story. Though it is presented in a similar fashion many movies and books have, narration done by an older couple or the story of a lover told by the old man. The writer is Tim Seeley and the art by Rebekah Issacs. This duo has presented the story in a great heart touching way.
Why so good? (Spoilers ahead!)
Harley is sick and Ivy is taking care of her. Though this seems like a classic heart-breaking sobby story the writer has taken quite the effort to make it appealing. Just the way love grows and blooms, so it does for Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. But she is sick and Ivy has pills to transform them as plants and they live healthy and happy. That’s what beauty is.
They are literally going to grow and bloom together. Though it is quite clear the Harley may perish early leaving Ivy alone. Still, they take the chance to live forever as plants. They might never connect as they did as humans. Like plants, they might not even experience love or emotions. But they want to end their misery, with the hope to live forever beside each other in peace. Probably it’s the best, maybe a breeze comes by, and their leaves touch. That’s the beauty of it, their love has hope and peace in the end.
