HBO executive Casey Bloys recently talked about the possibilities of a True Blood Reboot. Find out who will return for the reboot?
It has been reported that popular show True Blood would be returning to the network. Yes, you read it right! A long time ago Anna Paquin said that she had heard a little about the reboot and some talks happening but she wasn’t sure of it. Charlaine Harris who is the author of these vampire saga books on which the show is based was also unaware of any news. The news has now come up that yes there would be a reboot but nothing is final yet.
True Blood Reboot Team
The story is not ready and some material is still to be developed. Riverdale co-creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is currently said to be the one to executive produce the reboot. He will also be the writer of the script with NOS4A2 creator Jami O’Brien. Alan Ball who is the original creator of the five-season series is also set to join the reboot team. Material is still to be created and the team is working on it. Casey while talking to the media revealed that there is still a lot to be done before the show can get a date to air.
The creators and writers will come up with an indulging story and only after hearing it and making some changes, the True Blood reboot will be in process. For at least another year there is no possibility to see the reboot air. Casey Bloys said that the True Blood original series is already so good, they don’t want to mess things up with a bad script made in hurry. They want to see to it that the material is fresh and original and worth a shot. The team will be working on the storyline and as soon as some solid material is ready, they can begin shoots.
True Blood Reboot Will Make A Return With New Cast?
The heart-breaking news for the fans is that the old cast will not be returning. Familiar faces are always a relief when series like these return, but that won’t be the case for this show. Though True Blood reboot is some fantastic news, fans are worried about how well some new cast or a new story would suit their imagination. But it is safe to say that the creators of series like Riverdale and NOS4A2 are a little experienced with the horror genre and could deliver some great content. True Blood reboot awaits a great story to win the hearts of fans again.
