There was a lot of excitement in the year 2017 when Ian Somerhalder mentioned about The Vampire Diaries reboot. However, it turned out false information. Since then fans have been waiting to get a confirmation on The Vampire Diaries reboot season 9. But, now it seems like it’s worth the wait as the producers are planning the show’s renewal. There’s no denying the show has been popular among the audiences. It’s been almost three years when the show has come to an end but we still love the show and the amazing cast. The show has it all, the gorgeous stars, a fantastic storyline, amazing dialogues, and the mysterious endings are admirable.
A twist in the reboot:
The fans can’t wait to see the amazing trio of supernatural drama Damon Salvatore, Stefan Salvatore, and Elena Gilbert on a screen again but with some twist. Yes, you read it right! The makers of the show are planning for the show’s renewal. Even though the main characters of TVD—Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore, Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert, and Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore refused to be part of the vampire diaries reboot. This is the reason; makers have decided to renew the show with a set of fresh actors reprising the iconic roles.
In an interview with an entertainment portal, Julie Plec said that there won’t be any spin-off and the main series will continue. “I got something up my sleeve, but it’s not another side-y. That one’s gone for good. Something good is coming” which means there’s no chance we can see the trio again.
Plotline and release date of season 9:
The Vampire Diaries season 9 will pick the story where the season left us. We might get to see the human life of Stefan and Elena. We might get to see the daughter of Damon and Elena in Vampire Diaries season 9. Talking about the release date, the filming of the series will begin after the Covid-19 situation fades away. But we can expect season 9 in March 2021.
