Season 6 witnessed the departure of three major characters. Jeremy Gilbert plans to leave Mystic Falls to hunt Vampire Dobrev’s character succumbed to a sleeping spell cast by Kai Parker, and Tyler left for some part that is still is a mystery.
The Lockwoods carries a werewolf gene that was triggered in Tyler during season 2 when he accidentally took the life of his female classmate.
