Julie Plec knows all sorts of Vampire. It is like wherever there’s the word “Vampire” there’s her as well. And that’s not all, according to reports Julie Plec would next working on another Vampire project – “Vampire Academy” as announced by Peacock. On Wednesday, Peacock announced that they have asked “Vampire Diaries” co-creator Julie Plec along with “Marguerite Macintyre” who will also co-create and executive produce the show “Vampire Academy”. Marguerite can also be recognized as “Sheriff Forbes” from The Vampire Diaries where she played a cop and was also the mother of “Caroline”.
Lisa Katz (who’s also the president of scripted content for NBC) in an interview said that “Julie has created such amazing and fan favorite shows in the past be it ‘Vampire Diaries’ or its spinoffs ‘The Originals’ or ‘Legacies’ and so we are super excited for her to work her magic once again to deliver this passionate audience a brand new series”. She also added “Julie has always been able to produce some binge worthy, enchanting dramas in the past and we know Vampire Academy will always keep its viewers on the edge”.
Julie Plec who once in 2015, tweeted about wanting to make ‘Vampire Academy’ said “When I signed my new deal with ‘Universal Television’ they asked me what project I have been trying and dying to make and my immediate answer was “Vampire Academy”. Julie has been signed for a 10 episode series.
